The City of Tracy joined Ava in 2021. Its residential, municipal, and commercial accounts are automatically enrolled in Ava’s Bright Choice service.
Tracy’s Fast Facts
An elected official from each of the participating jurisdictions and one representative (non-voting) from the Community Advisory Committee make up the Ava Board of Directors. Tracy’s current appointments to Ava’s Board are:

Tracy’s Energy Transition
In order to offer Tracy businesses and residents cleaner energy and to help the City of Tracy achieve its Climate Action Plan goals, the Tracy City Council voted to join Ava Community Energy (Ava) on August 20, 2019. Ava began serving residential, business, and municipal electricity customers throughout Tracy in 2021. Customers were automatically placed on Ava’s Bright Choice service, which offers customers a 5% discount on their electric supply.
Customers in Tracy can choose Ava’s Renewable 100 service or return to PG&E service at any time. Your participation is helping Ava move toward 100% carbon-free electricity for all customers by 2030.
