Union City’s Energy Transition
In order to offer Union City’s businesses and residents cleaner energy and to help the City of Union City achieve its Climate Action Plan goals, the Union City City Council voted to join Ava Community Energy (Ava) in 2016. Ava began serving residential, business, and municipal electricity customers throughout Union City in 2018. Customers were automatically placed on Ava’s Bright Choice service, which offers customers a 5% discount on their electric supply.
Customers in Union City can choose Ava’s Renewable 100 service or return to PG&E service at any time. Your participation is helping Ava move toward 100% carbon-free electricity for all customers by 2030.
You can reach an Ava representative at +1 833.699.3223 during business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays).
