    Starting in August 2026, Fremont’s default electricity service plan for commercial customers will change from Bright Choice to Renewable 100. Join Ava Community Energy for a live walkthrough of what this transition means for your business: what’s changing, what it costs, and what to do if you want to keep your current plan. We’ll cover your options, key deadlines, and leave time for your questions. This webinar is intended for Fremont business owners and operators with commercial electricity accounts.

    Town Nights @Hoover Elementary School 

    Join us for Town Nights, a series of free community events. With a focus on community cohesion and fostering unity, Town Nights offers safe spaces for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy free food, music, games, and more. Ava is sponsoring Mandela Partners to provide free food for this event. Ava will also be bringing an informational table.

    Resilience Hub Workshop 

    Ava Community Energy (Ava) has partnered with Emerald Cities Collaborative (ECC) and Local Clean Energy Alliance (LCEA) to support the Resilience Hub Initiative. This initiative provides technical assistance (TA) to help community-serving facilities explore resilience-focused solar and battery storage solutions, along with funding opportunities for qualifying resilience hub projects. This event will be led by Local Clean Energy Alliance & Emerald Cities Collaborative and hosted and in partnership with Glad Tidings International, Green the Church, California Interfaith Power & Light, and the City of Hayward.

    Hayward Juneteenth 

    The annual Hayward Juneteenth Freedom Celebration is presented by the West Coast Blues Society and Juneteenth Hayward at Mt Eden High School on Saturday, June 20. The downtown event features a blues festival lineup, a variety of food vendors, beer and wine garden, and community programming honoring Russell City and Hayward’s African American heritage.

Ava, the club’s official clean energy partner, has been a sponsor of Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul since each team’s inception. We will be tabling at this home game, providing general information about Ava.
