Ava’s mission is to reinvest profits directly into East Bay and San Joaquin Valley communities, creating local green energy jobs and clean power projects.

We do this in several ways, including contracting with local businesses, independent contractors, and community-based organizations to plan, implement, and execute a variety of programs in our service area.

In addition, Ava periodically purchases wholesale electric energy and capacity from generators and suppliers, including local renewable and carbon-free energy.

RFP for Accounts Receivable Recovery Agent

Ava Community Energy (Ava) is seeking proposals from qualified firms for debt collection services. Proposals shall include a detailed operational plan, which demonstrates an understanding of, and capability to assume responsibility for, collecting delinquent revenue for Ava. Ava values professionalism, a sense of community, and quality public services. As a result, Ava is seeking professional firms that can perform collections effectively and empathetically, with care and respect to our diverse customer base.

This initiative aims to enhance local energy resilience and sustainability by identifying and developing a catalog of potential community-owned resilience hub sites within Ava’s service Area through community outreach, education, and research efforts. The grant, totaling up to $300,000 over three years, targets diverse communities and encourages collaboration with local stakeholders.

Ava Community Energy is seeking proposals from qualified organizations for the development and operation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations within Ava’s service area, Alameda and San Joaquin Counties. The grant aims to empower communities by fostering local ownership and innovation in EV infrastructure, promoting sustainability and electric mobility. The selected organization will be responsible for identifying and developing community-based EV charging sites, implementing a sustainable business model for station operation, and promoting clean transportation access. The grant, totaling up to $300,000 over three years, targets diverse communities and encourages collaboration with local stakeholders.

Ava Community Energy is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals (“Vendor”) to provide a variety of marketing support services including, but not limited to: Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, and Exhibit Booth Design & Staffing. The objective of this solicitation is to identify a pool of on-demand resources (which may be wholly within a firm or include multiple firms) that Ava can utilize as needed. Vendors can submit proposals for one or more sections of this solicitation.
