Stockton approves alternate electric utility option to PG&E
KXTV covers Stockton’s approval to use an alternate electricity provider to PG&E. “We think that there’s tremendous appetite and interest in the solutions that we bring,” EBCE CEO Nick Chaset told ABC10. “First and foremost, affordability is key in a city like Stockton where there is a significant energy burden on many residents and so bringing that savings proposition, it’s going to be something that we think is a no-brainer.” -

Wind and solar energy to become the default in Berkeley
Berkeley’s city council voted in June 2021 to switch from partially renewable energy to fully wind and solar-powered energy. This change from EBCE’s Bright Choice plan to the Renewable 100 plan went into effect in March for residential accounts. Businesses willl transition to October. -
