Virtual power plants (VPPs) optimize their connected devices against one another and against the needs of the grid, while balancing residents’ usage and enjoyment of their home battery, appliances, or vehicle. CleanTechnica interviewed Ava CEO Howard Change about the launch of Ava’s VPP initiative, which also helps renewable energy go further and lowers costs for the customer.
