Big solar energy project planned for 10 Oakland rooftops
The City of Oakland is planning to install solar panels on the rooftops of their 10 publicly owned buildings. City Councilmember Dan Kalb notes his satisfaction of Ava’s collaboration with the city’s sustainability staff to spearhead the rooftop solar project. -

In Northern California, a New Pilot Program from Ava Community Energy Seeks to Better Understand the Impact of Gas Stoves on Indoor Air Quality
Ava has partnered with Berkeley Air Monitoring Group and Franklin Energy to offer qualified low-income customers the opportunity to replace their existing gas stove with a free electric induction stove. Indoor air quality will be monitored before and after the stove is replaced, and the customer will receive a customized report on their air quality at the end of the pilot period. -

Fremont transitioning to 100% renewable energy
The Fremont City Council voted unanimously to have Fremont customers to be moved from Ava’s Bright Choice service to Ava’s Renewable 100 plan. The transition is anticipated to take place in 2025 for residential customers and 2026 for business customers. -
